it’s in good faith that we contribute…besides have a friend in the world bank who assured me that most of this money does reach the intended recipients…other alternative is for one to be there and lend a helping hand…

http://ffl.org/ – FFL currently distributes over 20,000 freshly cooked meals every day, along with medical care, clothing, water and shelter. FFL also guarantees that 100% of donations received would be used for helping the tsunami victims – so pls. go ahead and contribute here, as your contributions do reach the intended recepients.

[concerned] While a lot of spurious organizations pop up to take advantage of unfortunate times like this, there are plenty of aid and relief agencies that are already out on the frontlines, making a difference. The Tsunami help blog as well as the list of agencies from their Wiki resources (you'll find it in the table of contents) can both point you to a lot of reliable information.
