Gentle reminder
Dekho bhool na jaana, ECE bulb laana ..
Okay, this isn’t really a post as much as a reminder. No, not about ECE bulbs. This is for all you nice people who presumably read this blog and like it enough to link to it. And hopefully, won’t notice my attempts to sweet talk you.
Please update your blogroll links to point to the new URL — www.meghalomania.com. And while you are at it, if it is not too much trouble (well, I know it is, but I’ll say it anyway) — please update links (if any) for individual posts too? I have the redirect script on Blogger in place for now, but there’s no telling how long it will last, and ideally, I’d like to give the old blog a respectful burial at some point, rather than have it languish in redirect land for all eternity.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks much. We will be back with our regular inanities later tonight.

Nice Reminder. I remeber the Jingle pretty well with Asrani trying to do a Jim Carresque thingy.

Hey, i’m able to access your blog again.
I have already updated my blogroll.
As far as that ad is concerned, I remember it just a lil. I remember the Laxman Sylvania ad with asrani more and i think thats the ad Paddy is confusing it with or was asrani in ECE ad too? Actually, I associate the asrani ad with a show called “Kile ka Rahasya”. It was a mystery show that used to air on DD on tuesday late night (which means 10:30pm cos it was considered just tooo late back then) and this was always the last ad before the show began. (If u remember, ads were shown before the show started back then and we still watched the ads :D )
I also remember the “jab main chhota bachcha tha” - bajaj tubes and bulbs ad.

[Paddy] Asrani showed up in the Sylvania Laxman ad, not the ECE bulbs ad, from what I remember and as [Raj] pointed out too. Thankoo for updating the blogroll. If we may be picky - please to add the trailing ’s’ to our blog name, if it is not too much trouble? Thankoo :)
[Raj] Thanks for updating your blogroll. This was a reminder for the other souls who haven’t done it, not for people like you who had already done it :) I am pretty sure you are right - don’t remember Asrani being in the ECE ad at all. And of course, one can never forget the Bajaj ads :) Ab main bilkul boodha hoon, goli khaakar jeeta hoon, lekin aaj bhi ghar ke andar .. *ting ting ting ting ting* .. roshni hota Bajaj! :) And yes, I do remember ‘Quile ka rahasya‘ vividly! I got reasonably scared when I accidentally watched a few episodes and mom promptly yelled at me for staying up so late :)
