I tell mallu jokes to mallus, bong jokes to bongs,… Yet no one has been able to get me with gulty jokes except vague attempts with inane ones about chillies and USA. But now all that changed with the Prajarajyam though.. lol. Are you single and available? Will you marry a gulty like me? Or no?

just found your blog on the web. i love your description of gults and their associated idiosyncracies. we gults have definitely been neglected so far in the english speaking world’s writing on regional identities in india. in fact the south indian stereotype has been almost completely monopolized by tamilians and its good to see gults get their fair share of the limelight. on a more serious note, i think this a lot of this can be traced to madras becoming the cultural and economic capital of south india during british times.
