hey I just started reading your blog n I just “loooove” the whole feel of it …
This particular post brought back some horrendous memories which in many ways changed my perception of men & my ability to trust them entirely…
I was a victim of abuse when I was just around the age of 10 or less n yes it’s hard when it’s someone in the family ; someone whose trusted & looked upto by everyone especially your parents bcoz they are brilliant academically.I suffered it for soemtime not knowing what was right ; what not, n how to stop it, knowinga ll along that soemthing was not right … eventually I avoided being alone with the person anytime at all n thankfully my parents supported n trusted me when I reported it when I was 21 & the person tried to play the same trick again … i haven’t really been able to talk to anyone openly about it, thanks to your blog n the post specifically …

Iâ€™m glad that the Blank noise project is addressing an issue of paramount importance such as this. Sympathy, sadness, anger, and other emotions aside, I believe that harassers (especially child abusers) need psychiatric help and someone needs to tell them clearly that they affect how a child thinks.

[All] Been a while since I made an appearance here. My apologies for my disappearance and the resulting lack of response to some of you. In any case, plenty has been said on this topic already, so I am going to skip individual comment responses this time. And about Smiley’s comment - some of you have responded to him and the matter (and Smiley, to an extent) has been flogged plenty. So I think it is best that I don’t restart the issue.

Disturbing! What kind of twisted people hurt kids?

When I hear that most of the abuses never become public because a family member is involved, it freaks me out! I don’t think I will ever be able to sleep in peace if and when i have kids! Trust is disappearing from this world - and rightly so…!
