[Falsie] Resist temptation, you did. And we are proud of you, for that. *solemn nod of head*
[twinky] Aww thankoo thankoo. Such a sweet song and all. I thought I was the only wacko who referred to Easter as Bunny Day, but I should have known that you would too :) *customary slo-mo running for til-matching*
Awesome pic. Aapne kya camera isthaemaal kiya? Hum ek aur le rahein hain. Subaah subah, yahaan hum andoan ke khoj mein the and pichle saal ke tarah kuch nahi mila humko.
Btw, aap Waco (Texas) se hain kya? ek aur wacko tha, kuch saal pehle, David Koresh naam ka. Tho humne socha tha ki sab wackos Waco se hain!
Hum ko bhi bunnies bahut pasand hai. Unke chote pink fake ears ek dum cute hothe hain. Aur woh tail..waah waah waah… badiya. Hefner ji ko bahut mazaa aa raha hoga.
[Hariprasad] Thank you! They seem to be doing okay, so far :)
[Anon] Oh thankoo!
[raj] Thanks and to you too! :) You are the third Raj in this commentspace, so I’ll have to start calling you Raj the Third. Yeah, we’re not being creative at the moment.
[aNTi] Oye, just ‘cos we call you a good boy a couple of times, you have to instantly try and change that image with all this talk of Hefner’s fake bunnies eh? Well, hopefully, the concerned parties are listening and are suitably impressed at the changes. We shall find out soon, I suppose :) Oh by the way - Thankoo. We were most pleased with the picture, ourselves. A Canon Powershot A80. A very basic camera and an old one, at that.
[teleute] Thankoo! And sympathies from a fellow ant-sufferer. Have you considered getting one of those compressed-air dusters and and just phoooooo-ing them out of your keyboard?
some people just don’t let up with the imagery, do they? ;p
[anti]
hmmm raging volcanoes, whips and chains, and now our special guest the pinky-winky-liddle-bunny..
ye aap kya kar rahe hein, antiji?
aap aisi cheezein enjoy karenge toh hamaari bhaarateeya-naareeyata (nareeness?) ko kya hoga?
[twinky] I know! I think the raamudu manchi baaludu routine was just an image and what we are starting to see, are the man’s true colors. In 70mm Eastmancolor, no less. Most interesting, this is turning out to be ;)
[twinky] Groan. First [aNTi] in his chains/leather in the Playboy mansion, and now you becoming Raj Kapoor heroine (Zeenie or Mandy-kini is your choice). Even when I post a picture of some M&M’s just cos they are namesake candy, your potty-brains manage to twist it into something else. Sigh. You both are perfect for each other, I tell you!
[Megha] Phir thoda tho photoshopping ka kaam kiya hai us mein? Hum ek Sony DSC H1 order kiye hain. Par Dell waale log usko pakadke rakein hain. We are waiting. Next weekend NY Auto Show :(
Btw, yeh Mandakini kaun hai?
[Twinkieji] Arre, humne socha tha ki aap log jo hamare image ka vastrahaaran kar rahein hain, tho hum usi flow mein jaake dekhenge kya hotha hai. Aapko humein credit dena hi ki, hum Anakin bhai ki tarah andhere mein nahi gaye. Yeh force jo hai, woh ab bhi hamare andhar strong hai. Aur hum tho Hefner saab ki baath kar rahe the. Hum ab bhi Ram hi hain. Par aap kahengi tho Ram-bo banenge.
Ek aur baath. Aap is falling-shalling water ki baath kyon keh rahen hain. Aap ke ghar mein muncipality water nahi aathi hai kya?
We step here and see M & M’s and me gets the overwhelming urge to go buy and eat M & M’s… that’s 3 packs you should pay me for.. however, we resist that temptation to comment now… and we ask.. what happened to the orange M & M?? it looks like we are partial to “Ramarajan’s” (the cow-boy hero indeed) shirt colors of lime-green, sky-blue and pink M & M’s. Ok, lemme go get another pack of M & M’s. *saunters off to the nearest snack machine*
No prob..well iv been around for quite some time…not sure if id b second or third….hehe…and well i had a long absence too..:)…il wait for the creative light to shine upon u….for now, il b happy wid my title as the king of commonspaces, raj the third ..lol…hav fun….!:D
Ah, yes, yes, Bunny Day. Brings back memories of this television show one watched at the young and impressionable age of seven, wherein there was a muppet, Cuthbert the Crocodile, who had an obsession for chocolate - his favourite line being, “I like chocolate”. And in one episode, Cuthbert was forbidden from saying the word ‘chocolate’ for the whole show. The chap therefore started saying, “I like Easter Bread”. That was - *breaks off in mid sentence*… *looks around at all the people staring*…
What??? It was an interesting show then. I was seven. What???
[aNTi] Kyon bhai? Thoda sa Photoshopping kyon? Hum khud dhang ke photo nahin le sakte kya? Ya phir hamaara camera itna paploo hai ki aapne automatically assume kar liye ki ye Photoshop ka hi kamaal hoga? I used Photoshop to remove the edges of the picture (feathered them to white), so the M&Ms appear to be directly against the background of the page. But other than that, nothing has been touched. Of course I had to go through some thirty iterations of the picture until I finally got it right.
[Sriram] These were not regular M&Ms, you see. That’s why there are no red or chocolate brown ones either. These were the Easter special ones in pastel shades, which should also explain the sheep, chicks and bunny rabbits on them. So how many packets have we finished off so far? :)
[raj] Ah, in that case maybe you and Raj the second are one and the same person? Raj the second used to comment without a URL, so I probably got confused. As for the nomenclature, we continue to lack in the creative department right now, so please to adjust.
[witnwisdumb] Hmmmm! What is that? No no. We are not judgemental at all. Any weird tendencies you exhibited as a kid (or as an adult for that matter) shall not be held against you. You’ll be mocked and heckled for it. But judgements, none whatsoever. Hmmmmm ..
[tchah!] Hello Hangal-ji. Sigh. I know. Snifffffle. Nobody wants to say anything anymore. Waaaaaaa! *honks into her Kleenex and looks up teary-eyed to check for updates*
haha..c..u got me!!..that ws me…widout the URL before..i put it on sometimes n sometimes i dont…m glad tht uv observed tht though..uv got a good eye :P lol..:) hav fun!
* Notices the withering najron-ka-teer look and throws his hands up in despair [twinkieji] Aapne aapki bhaarateeya-naareeyata ki apmaan na hone dheynge. Is liye humne us Ram Teri Ganga Maili / Mandakini type image ko dhoor karne ke liye muncipality pani ke baare mein baath kiye. Aur aap humko “unromantic” samaj liye??? Hai hai, is duniya humko samajthi hi nahi!
[Megha] Arre.. the picture looked too good to be true. Those shadows are just perfect! Tho is liye hum puche the. Hum aapko apmaan nahi kar rahe the. Humko maaf karo!
Yesyes, thankee! That is a good idea. I will try phoooooo-ing them out with fancy compressed-air duster when I’m feeling not too lazy to get myself one of those. :)
Wow! That is an ‘egg’cellent picture. Wonder how you achieved the shadow effect. I HAD to go get a pack of M&M’s after seeing the picture. Wonder if the M&M’s that feature in the picture are all gone and gobbled up, with only their fond memories left behind, or if they still have a physical existence. If they do, then pliss to send some to me.
[CSM] They are flattened eggs. Eggs with the weight of the world on them. And the E is for Easter. So there.
[twinky] Aw thank you. That was indeed the effect I was aiming for, but it took me thirty times to get it somewhat right, what to do :|
[raj da 2nd n 3rd] Aha! Yes, we are a little weird that way about noticing details. Welcome back Raj the Second :)
[Vishkanya] Heh, true. That would have been fun! Does the bunny on the pink M&M count?
[aNTi]Apmaan!! Baap re! Itna heavy-duty word! Na na, nothing like that. Hum jusht generally pooch rahe thhe :) And thankoo!
[teleute] She makes fun of my phooooo-ing, tsk tsk. What else would you call it then, huh huh? Hmm, laziness. Now that one I have no antidote for.
[Anu] Heh heh. Thankoo. Glad you liked! *crunch crunch* They’re mostly gone though, *burp* I’m afraid. Used a glossy photo paper as a base with the sun behind me while taking the picture. The rest was just luck :)
[qs.gemini] Okay, that’s it! I will have to write to Mars Inc. today and start demanding a cut of the profits. Glad you liked though :) By the way, aren’t you thrilled with the weather these days? The highs of 30s are finally gone! Yay!
[teleute] Aww. We wouldn’t have minded even if you were :)
[Megha] Perfect weather… and that is why your M’nMs are more dangerous - don’t need the extra pounds in summer - don’t have the Down jacket to hide behind!:) When you get the cut from Mars Inc, please to share so that I can use some of it for my gym membership and the running shoes I have been wanting to buy! :-p
Wind in the hair, sun in the eyes - tomorrow me going to get my BMW convertible - it’s time! :) Did this rhyme…?
mmmmm not sure…
Wow. That is most definitely the most amazing piece of amateur photography I’ve ever seen. And I thought that even when I assumed that you must have needed a lot of Photoshopping to get the effect. I didn’t see how you could have achieved such a perfect shade of white otherwise.
But just white glossy paper, the sun behind you and a $200 digital camera… I’m floored. Really. You’re a genius.
The questions about how you achieved the “shadow effect” confuse me. It’s a photograph. Not a painting. Of course the shadows will be perfect. Your genius is in the fact that you managed to keep them.
And I prefer the scattered look rather than the shape of a bunny. It’s a lot more natural.
And I didn’t get the M&M pun at first. That bit was too cool :)
This is just to say that I actually have the option of being the first to comment on your blog for once, but I’m not taking it. Ha!
