Add Paheli to that list. I could not complete the movie on television because my remote some how kept veering me away and soon after a few breaks I was watching a cricket match or some other B grader movie in Zzzzzee cinema or star gold

The first half was like a kid (SRK) shaving using his daddy’s razor to feel adult (AB). The cold masochistic charm of AB can not be matched by SRK now that he has left his maniacal, psychotic oeuvre.

Great to see that there are lots of people who remember that extremely talented (?) crooner Hassan Jehangir and the “Original” Don2. BTW, thanks for Jeet Upendra bit. All these years his existence was almost lost in some dark deep unreachable corner of my brain..

Jeet Upendra was a good actor. He had done some good roles in Danga Fazaad, Panaah, Afsana Pyar Ka, etc. He had also acted in a Malayalam film “Johny Walker” in 1992. Mammoty was the main actor. Jeet Upendra was the second hero. It was about a middle aged guy(Mammooty) who joins college to meet his younger brother. He then changes the whole atmosphere of the college. Does it remind u of “Main hoon Naa” . But they were not the copies of “Johny Walker”. There is famous song picturised on Jeet Upendra and Baba Sehgal. The song is “Aaja Mere Gaadi Mein Baitja” from Miss 420.

I wasn’t around for a loooooooong time (the no. of ‘o’s says it all)
and for obvious reasons u wudn’t remember me now..

no..on a serious note…been busy with ‘da usual stuff’ - work, travel, studies (yea, I still study!!)
thy post on Don was mind blowing (as xpected !), reading it was much more fun than watching it :-)
u shud be tryng ur fingers (’n brain too) in scriptwriting (hindi movies need good ones badly) or be a film critic ‘n make directors read your posts..
Kkkkeep writing megs…dis space is truly a stress buster !

LOL! I am glad you remember and *KNOW* who Macmohan is.. I find it so difficult to explain people that Samba’s original name is Macmohan! :P

Being the movie buff I am, I guess, I should write something on those lines too! hehehe!
